Former Colonel Moss earns VP title for 49ers

Former Christian County High School Colonels’ football star Austin Moss II continues to rise in the San Francisco 49ers’ organization. 

Earlier this summer, Moss, who played on the defensive line for the University of Kentucky, was promoted from senior director, player affairs and development to vice president, player development and team dynamics. 

Moss started with San Francisco in 2018 as the team’s director of player engagement and promoted to his most recent position in 2024. 

The 49ers play host to the Tennessee Titans tonight in the first preseason game for both teams. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. 

Moss was a three-year starter at defensive end and right guard for the Colonels, playing for Mike Whitaker.
