A Cadiz woman was arrested Friday morning by Hopkinsville police on robbery and methamphetamine charges. Officers were called to the Walmart Supercenter and were told by store personnel that 39-year old Crystal Allen of Cadiz had stolen merchandise and threatened physical force as she fled with the items. There were fifty-three new cases of COVID-19 on the first day of 2021 in Christian County. The Christian County Health Department says that brings the number of active cases to 509, with 3,797 of the 4,363 total cases having already recovered. Christian County has reported 57 total deaths from the virus.
A woman and small child were injured after a vehicle struck a home on Sanderson Drive at North Drive Friday night. The man killed after being struck by a vehicle Friday night near Bradshaw Road on the Bypass has been identified. Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel says 35-year old Marquis Patterson of Clarksville was identified as the victim after a missing person’s report was filed on him with the local ECC.
