The man killed after being struck by a vehicle Friday night near Bradshaw Road on the Bypass has been identified.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel says 35-year old Marquis Patterson of Clarksville was identified as the victim after a missing person’s report was filed on him with the local ECC.
Hopkinsville police investigated and say 19-year-old Kaitlynn Dubois of Pembroke was headed west on the Bypass about 9:30 p.m. Friday when she thought she struck a deer.
She pulled over and Patterson’s body was later discovered in the median.
Dubois and her passenger were not injured.
The accident marked the first traffic fatality of 2021 in Christian County.
