A woman and small child were injured after a vehicle struck a home on Sanderson Drive at North Drive Friday night.
Hopkinsville police say 65-year old Sandra Brasher of Hopkinsville was traveling on North Drive and ran the stop sign at Sanderson a few minutes after 9 p.m. The collision report says a medical issue and excessive speed may have been a factor.
Her car went through the yard at 1156 Sanderson and struck an SUV in the carport, pushing it into the home and striking seven-year old Logan Hamlin of Hopkinsville, who was sitting at a desk in a bedroom.
Hamlin was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Brasher was transported to Tennova Health Hospital for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
