Kentucky reports 1,470 new COVID cases Saturday, 75 deaths since Thursday

Governor Andy Beshear announced 1,470 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday in Kentucky and large totals from Thursday and Friday. There were 4,145 new cases New Year’s Eve and 3,124 new cases New Year’s Day, according to a news release, which says the three days had a combined 75 deaths. Christian County reported 33 new confirmed coronavirus cases Saturday. Public Health Director Kayla Bebout says there are now 542 active cases in Christian County, with 3,797 of 4,396 total cases having already recovered. Christian County has had 57 COVID deaths.
