The teams agreed to move the game back one day so it will be played tomorrow night at 6 with pregame at 4:30 on Lite Rock 98.7 and lite987whop.com. Other SEC action tonight includes 11th ranked Tennessee playing at Ole Miss with tipoff at 6 pm.
The Memphis Grizzlies won their seventh straight game downing San Antonio 133-102 last night. Former Murray State standout Ja Morant had 13 points and eight assists in the win. Memphis is now 9-6 and play at Indiana tonight.
Tampa Bay took a 3-0 at the end of the first period and downed the Nashville Predators 5-2 last night. The Predators fall to 4-5-0 on the season and host the Carolina Panthers Thursday and Friday night at Bridgestone Arena.
The St. Louis Cardinals are officially acquiring Nolan Arenado from the Colorado Rockies in a six-player deal. St. Louis is also receiving cash considerations, with Colorado getting pitchers Austin Gomber, Jake Sommers, and Tony Locey, and infielders Elehuris Montero and Mateo Gil. Arenado has won a Gold Glove in each of his eight seasons with the Rockies. The 29-year-old has been named a National League All-Star five times.
Trigg County reported 36 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday, while Todd County had three new cases Monday. One of Trigg County’s new cases—a 27-year old man—is in the hospital and the remainder of the cases between the ages of three and 74 are isolated at home. Fire destroyed a large storage building Monday night in Elkton. Elkton firefighters were called to the former Todd County Salvage location on West Jeff Davis Highway about 5:30 p.m. and found the building on the property fully engulfed in flames. Assistant Fire Chief Daniel Smith says the structure was being used to store hay and equipment and it was a total loss.
