UK’s game tomorrow night at Missouri still up in the air

Kentucky Sports Radio reports at least three Kentucky basketball players are out of Covid quarantine. Terrence Clarke, BJ Boston and Jacob Toppin were all seen at the women’s game with Missouri Sunday. Kentucky has been on a 48 hour quarantine and did not play Texas Saturday. It’s not yet known if the team will be able to travel to 12th ranked Missouri for action tomorrow night.

Grizzlies play at San Antonio tonight

The Memphis Grizzlies will try to extend their winning streak to seven tonight when they play the Spurs in San Antonio. After a five-game coronavirus hiatus, Memphis returned to the court Saturday to beat the Spurs by 17 points. The Grizzles are 8-and-6.

Patrick Reed shot a four-under 68 Sunday to win the Farmers Insurance Open by five strokes in La Jolla, California. Reed was propelled by an eight-under 64 first round on Thursday and finished 14-under for the tournament. Three new COVID cases in Todd County

There were three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 Sunday in Todd County. Public Health Director Jen Harris says they are all otherwise healthy adults isolating at home with mild symptoms. Todd County is down to 39 active cases—30 at home and nine in a hospital. At least 835 of 898 total cases have recovered and there have been 24 deaths.

Light snow event closes Todd, Hopkins, Logan, Muhlenberg County schools Monday, Feb. 1

A dusting of snow has caused several area school systems to close Monday and motorists are advised to use extra caution on their morning commute. Todd, Hopkins, Logan and Muhlenberg County Schools are closed, with officials in all of those districts saying it will be a non-traditional instruction day. Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt.
