Oak Grove brings home Kaleidoscope Awards

The City of Oak Grove has claimed some Kaleidoscope Awards from the Southeast Festivals and Events Association’s Kaleidoscope Awards conference. Clarksville drive-by shooting victim dies

The victim that was shot in a drive by shooting on Cranklen Circle in Clarksville last weekend has died from his injuries. According to the Clarksville Police Department, 19-year old Malik Madison succumbed to wounds and passed away Friday morning at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  Two people have been arrested in connection with the case—a 16-year old juvenile and 18-year old Jakrarius Medley. 4th Region Girls Pairings released

Pairings for the 4th Region Girls tournament were announced today. Games include Bowling Green meeting Russellville in the quarterfinals on Sunday March 1st at 3:45 pm and Logan County facing Metcalfe County Monday March 2nd at 6 pm. The tournament semifinals are Friday March 6th and the final is on Saturday March 7th. All games are being played at WKU’s EA Diddle Arena.

Federal indictment: Trucker stopped for woman with car trouble on I-24, held her captive

A long-haul truck driver has been indicted by a federal grand jury after a woman having car trouble that he picked up near the Kentucky-Tennessee state line on I-24 escaped as he attempted to hold her captive. Todd County Schools want public input on superintendent search

The Todd County Board of Education wants input from the public as they select the district’s next superintendent. The Todd County School System is conducting an online survey and the results will be used to build formal criteria for selection of a superintendent. The survey that asks about 24 mostly multiple-choice questions on one page was created by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators. Click here to take the survey.
