TBI: Suspect killed parents, uncle, three women, 12-year old girl

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has identified the seven people murdered in a rural area of Sumner County. As previously reported, 25-year old Michael Cummins has been arrested in connection with the killings and some of the victims were his family members. Several hospitalized for chlorine exposure in Central City

Several people were hospitalized Monday after exposure to chlorine fumes in Central City. WFIE TV reports crews were working with chlorine at the pool in the Convention Center on Golden Tide Avenue, when several people became overwhelmed by fumes. Dispatchers told the TV station that about 50 people were being evacuated from the building. Ambulances were called from nearby counties to help transport patients to area hospitals.

Updated: Crofton man injured in tractor accident

Additional details have been released on a tractor accident from Saturday afternoon on Poole Mill Road. Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Goulet says 24-year old Brendon Miller of Crofton had been eastbound in the 1200 block of Poole Mill when a backpack got under his feet. Library’s Book-A-Bike program expanding to Sportsplex, Visitor’s Center

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, the Hopkinsville Sportsplex and the Convention and Visitors’ Bureau are partnering to expand the Book-A-Bike program.
