Hoppers playing opening game at Bluegrass World Series

The Hoptown Hoppers are playing their first game in the Bluegrass World Series this afternoon at Slugger Field in Louisville. The Hoppers are facing the Hattiesburg Black Sox. The Hoppers will play again tomorrow and then face the Louisville Stars on Friday night.

U of L to host James Madison in 2022 football season

The Courier Journal among outlets is reporting the University of Louisville will host James Madison on November 5, 2022. James Madison is one of the best teams in the Football Championship Subdivision. The Dukes won the FCS national championship in 2016 and are the only school besides North Dakota State with a national title since 2010. Louisville has never played JMU in football.

Predators sign forward Salomaki

The Nashville Predators have announced the signing of restricted free agent Miikko Salomaki to a two year, $1.5 million contract. The 25-year-old forward appeared in 58 games for the Predators last season and scored two goals.

An investigation at a Princeton Road location Sunday night led to the arrest of a local man on several charges and police say he had a bomb in his home. Clarksville pair arrested for theft, vandalism

Oquinn                                                                                     Cosgrove Two men were arrested in Montgomery County over the weekend on theft and vandalism charges. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department alleges that 25-year old Christopher Oquinn and 34-year old James Cosgrove of Clarksville broke into a home that was still under construction on Freedom Drive late last week. Sportsplex still set for October opening
