Hopkinsville’s new Sportsplex should be open for business within three months and officials say excitement is building around the project.
Chris Jung is the Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Sportsplex and says the contractor has remained on schedule for an October opening.
Jung says he hasn’t scheduled a first tournament, as officials want to be certain the building will be completely suited to host an event before its calendar starts filling up.
Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says the Hopkinsville Sportsplex has drawn interest from entities involved in all types of indoor sports.
The 54,000 square foot Hopkinsville Sportsplex is located next to the Bruce Convention Center on Lovers Lane.
