Gov. reports 646 new COVID cases

Governor Andy Beshear reported 646 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday. The positivity rate ticked up to 3.4 percent, 448 Kentuckians are in the hospital, 115 are in the ICU and 48 are on a ventilator. Two Madisonville men arrested after residential break-in

Two Madisonville men were arrested following a break-in at a home on Parkwood Drive Friday. Officers from the Madisonville Police Department and Hopkins County VICE/Narcotics Unit were called to a burglary in progress at 956 Parkwood and found a broken window. Lady Colonel softball routs Caldwell County Friday

Christian County scored nine times in the second inning and went on to defeat Caldwell County 12-2 in 5 innings Friday night at Lady Colonel Field. Reni Shemwell and Aalaisha McGregor each hit a home run for Christian County, who had three players to each collect two hits on the night. Gracie Harned got the pitching win for the Lady Colonels, who improved to 11-3 on the season.
