Man seriously injured in Hopkins County ATV accident

An ATV accident Friday night in Hopkins County sent the driver by helicopter to an area hospital

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says 35-year old Jacob Larkins of Nortonville was southbound on Red Hill Road near Nortonville when he went off the side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Larkins and his passenger, 36-year old Nickie Watkins of Nortonville, were both ejected from the side-by-side ATV.

Larkins was flown to an area hospital for treatment of injuries and Watkins was treated at the scene, but did not need to go to the hospital.
