Hopkinsville police are investigating a shooting incident that led to wreck on Fort Campbell Boulevard Monday night. Corey Lee, a Fort Campbell soldier residing in Hopkinsville, was meeting with unknown suspects in the parking lot of Lowes when he was robbed, according to Hopkinsville Police Lt. Seth Meek. Governor Andy Beshear announced 214 new cases of COVID-19 in the commonwealth Monday and eight additional deaths. That means there have been at least 10,046 total cases of the virus and 439 Kentuckians have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. City parks begin Phase 1 of reopening

Phase 1 of reopening Hopkinsville’s parks began Monday. Reopening began with green spaces, pavilions at DeBow Recreational Complex and Ruff Park, restrooms, disc golf courses at DeBow and Trail of Tears Park, the Skatepark, the Recreation Department, Second Street Community Building and the Sportsplex. A Madisonville was injured in a three-vehicle accident Monday morning. Madisonville police investigated and determined 59-year old Tracey Reider of Providence was southbound on Nebo Road and didn’t see traffic stopped in front of her. Former Auburn football coach Dye passes away today

Report: NASCAR may allow fans back at races very soon

The Sports Business Journal reports NASCAR is evaluating allowing fans back at its races as soon as later this month, possibly at Homestead-Miami and/or Talladega, according to sources. Attendance would be at reduced capacity, only in places where local rules now allow it, and the decision is not yet final.
