UK Basketball has Media Day today in Lexington

Coach John Calipari said that he liked his team, but noted the ranks were a bit thin with only nine scholarship players able to practice. Calipari added freshman Dontaie Allen will be cleared for basketball activities in about a month. Allen is continuing rehab from an injury suffered during his senior year at Pendleton County.

Nashville group unveils plans for stadium for MLB future franchise

The group trying to bring Major League Baseball to Nashville has released a rendering of what a stadium would look like. Gov. announces funds for work on Logan County roads

Governor Matt Bevin announced discretionary funds for road improvements in Logan County during his visit to western Kentucky Monday. He announced about $194,000 for the City of Russellville for resurfacing of Shelton Lane and East Third Street and about $79,000 to the City of Auburn to repair Sugar Maple Drive, McCormick Street and D Hall Street.

KYTC launches new portal for overweight/over-dimensional vehicle applications

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has launched a new online system for issuing travel permits for overweight/over-dimensional vehicle drivers. A news release says using verified, real-time data, the program provides intelligent routing based on road closures, vehicle weight, and vehicle dimensions.
