The Princeton Police Department arrested a man Friday morning after he allegedly stabbed his mother when an argument turned violent. According to a news release, officers responded to a residence on North Jefferson Street in Princeton for reports of a disturbance and found the victim, 41-year old Amanda Eison in the front yard. Eighteen law enforcement dispatchers graduated Friday from the Public Safety Dispatch Academy at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training, including three from the Hopkinsville Fire Department. According to a news release, Taylor Adams, Jordan Kelly and Jennifer Robinson of the Hopkinsville Police Department recently graduated the five week training program consisting of 205 hours of academy instruction. The Trigg County Sheriff’s Department has released the identity of the man injured Thursday when the semi-truck he was operating went off I-24. Riley Fort, who won the Christian County and Kentucky Distinguished Young Woman competitions, is in Mobile, Alabama this weekend participating in the national competitions. A group from Wisconsin has been back in Hopkinsville this week helping with some much-needed work. Officials say Sidekick Missions is a group comprised from different Methodist rural churches near Boscobel, Wisconsin. It was their fourth visit to Hopkinsville, having come once in 2009 and twice in 2010. During those three trips they completed 26 residential projects and five community projects.
