Rick Pitino’s book hits stores today

Rick Pitino’s book, “Pitino: My Story” is being released today and Pitino stated in a story to ESPN he will likely not coach again. The book-which is a memoir of his 40 year coaching career-focuses on three key aspects of the last few years, the 2015 sex scandal, the 2017 FBI investigation involving Adidas and his termination from Louisville.

Titans announce captains for 2018 season

The Tennessee Titans have elected their captains for the 2018 season. The offensive captains will be quarterback Marcus Mariota and tight end Delanie Walker. Defensive captains will be linebacker Wesley Woodyard and defensive lineman Jurrell Casey and Daren Bates is the special teams captain. The Titans open the 2018 season against the Miami Dolphins Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Soyars sworn in as county attorney

Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A traffic stop on Richard Mills Drive Sunday morning led to the arrest of a passenger on drug charges. Deputy David King stopped a vehicle after suspecting the driver of being impaired and there was an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Warrant: Man stole car he drove in pursuit

A Hopkinsville man has been served with a warrant that alleges he stole a vehicle last month in Princeton. It says that on August 22nd, 26-year old Zachary White of Hopkinsville stole a 2006 Toyota Corolla belonging to Robin Springfield from a Hillview Court home in Princeton. Details have been released on a wreck Monday morning at Griffin Bell Drive and Richard Mills Drive that injured one of the drivers. An investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department at the Adairville Dollar General Labor Day afternoon led to the arrest of a woman on drug charges.
