Burglary on Hugh Hunter Road

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary on Hugh Hunter Road. Brian Hannon told Deputy Rusty Rosencrance that someone broke a back window at a 1658 Hugh Hunter Road apartment to get inside between 1 and 4 p.m. Monday. Woman hurt in I-24 accident

An Ohio teenager was injured in a three-vehicle accident Monday evening on I-24 in Christian County. The report from Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brandon Myers says 17-year old Kiera Angelo of Boardman, Ohio was eastbound near the 85 mile-marker and was passing a tractor-trailer driven by 28-year old Kenswaylo Docher of Mississippi. Great turnout for Relay for Life pancake breakfast

The Christian County Relay for Life 2018 campaign officially got underway Saturday morning with the annual kick-off pancake breakfast. Serving sausage, pancakes, juice, coffee and more, citizens filled First Baptist Church in support of Relay for Life, which in turn aids those battling cancer in the area, as the money raised stays local. The Christian County Relay for Life campaign officially kicks off Saturday morning with the annual Relay pancake breakfast. Unemployment dropped in Christian, Todd and Trigg last month

Unemployment dropped from November to December in eight of nine Pennyrile counties. Christian County’s December jobless rate was 4.5 percent, down from 4.9 percent in November and down from 5.4 percent a year ago. It meant 1,123 people who were looking for work were unable to find it. Woman allegedly stole car from grandmother

A woman accused of stealing her grandmother’s car shortly after being released from prison has been arrested. An arrest warrant for 37-year old Angela Garcia of Hopkinsville alleges that on Saturday, she drove away with her grandmother’s 2004 Buick Rendezvous and cell phone.
