Man flown to Nashville hospital following East 1st Street crash

A single-vehicle crash on East First Street Wednesday afternoon sent a Hopkinsville man to a Nashville hospital for treatment of severe injuries. According to the Hopkinsville police report, 65-year-old Jeffrey McCord of Hopkinsville was operating an electric bicycle westbound on East First when the bike experienced some type of mechanical issue. Vehicular homicide suspect Gerasimos Livieratos was arraigned in Christian Circuit on Wednesday for his reported involvement in a fatal wreck. On March 7, Livieratos attempted to make a U-turn on Fort Campbell Boulevard. As he was turning, Bernice Franklin of Clarksville collided with Livieratos’ semi-truck. Walnut Street shooting victim dies from his injuries

Hopkinsville Police are investigating after 19-year-old Jordan Jones of Hopkinsville was shot on Walnut Street Wednesday afternoon and later died from his injuries. The shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Walnut Street, and Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers says Jones was in a car and suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest.
