Parks and Recreation to host grand opening celebration for Rotary Park

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Rotary Park in April. United Southern Bank invites student athletes to apply to the Brandon Oldham Memorial Scholarship

To honor the late Brandon Oldham, United Southern Bank launched an academic scholarship in his memory and invite student athletes to apply. Oldham served as the branch manager and the loan officer at the bank’s Canton Pike location before he passed away at the age of 41 in a motorcycle accident in September 2025. Hoptown tennis teams split matches with Webster

The Hopkinsville boys’ tennis team earned a 3-0 victory over host Webster County in a high school match on Thursday afternoon.  Aiden Riley claimed a 6-0, 6-2 singles win over the Trojans’ Maddox Hibbs and Jesus Tomas defeated Josue Morales 8-3.  In the girls’ match, Webster County defeated the Lady Tigers 5-1.  Evelyn Bangart continued her good play to start the season and Mylee McDowell 8-5 for Hoptown’s lone win.  The Lady Tigers’ doubles team […]

The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving a homicide that occurred on Greenwood Avenue in December. The fatal shooting happened on December 29, 2025 on Greenwood Avenue, where a male victim was found lying in the grass with multiple gunshot wounds. The Christian County Lady Colonels remained undefeated on the 2026 season as they slipped past host Lyon County 6-5 in a high school softball game Thursday night.  Alexis Epps went 4-for-4 to lead the Lady Colonels at the plate.  Chloe Almy’s two-run double in the top of the fifth inning provided the winning runs for Christian County, which improved to 4-0 on the season.
