The Hopkinsville High School girls’ archery team took eighth place in the KHSAA Region 1 Tournament over the weekend at the Chase Fulcher Archery Building in Henderson. Katelyn Agosto led the Lady Tigers with a 273, which was 29th overall among the girls’ standings. The Christian County High School girls’ archery team took ninth place in the KHSAA Region 1 Tournament over the weekend at the Chase Fulcher Archery Building in Henderson. University Heights Academy’s Ajae Oatts continued her standout senior season by taking a pair of third place finishes in the prestigious Invitational of the South high school track meet Saturday in Benton. Oatts took third place in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes to lead the Lady Blazers to a 10th-place finish with 25 points. Hopkinsville High School’s track teams participated in the prestigious Invitational of the South Saturday at Marshall County High School. In the boys’ meet, Hoptown took fourth place with 67 points. The Christian County Lady Colonels’ softball team remains undefeated on the season after a strong showing over the weekend in Eddyville. Alondra Rodriguez slammed four doubles and drove in six runs as Christian County routed Jo Byrns, Tenn., 15-4 in five innings on Saturday afternoon.
