The search continues for a missing Christian County woman, with Kentucky State Police asking for the public’s help in locating her.  According to a news release, 39-year-old Emerald “Emmy” Raeann Forgette was last seen during the early morning hours of Sunday, January 11 in the area of Hopkinsville Road in Nortonville. Veteran swim coach Marquess receives state honors

Hopkinsville and Christian County high school swim coach Keith Marquess was named the 2026 Kentucky Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Girls’ Most Outstanding Coach last weekend at the KHSAA State Swimming and Diving Meet. Lady Colonels roll past Hopkinsville for district title

The Christian County Lady Colonels captured the Girls’ District 8 Basketball Tournament title on Thursday night with a 70-26 victory over host Hopkinsville. Anaysia Bagwell had 17 points and Genesis McGee added 13 to lead the Lady Colonels to their second straight district crown. The Hopkinsville Tigers and Christian County Colonels will meet likely for the final time on the basketball floor tonight with the Boys’ District 8 Tournament championship on the line. The Tigers enter the game as the top seed with a 16-13 record. The Colonels have won seven of eight games and are the No. 2 seed with a 13-12 mark. Charges dismissed against Hopkinsville man accused of assault

A Hopkinsville man who had been charged with second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault has had those charges dismissed as of February 11. That’s according to Christian County Court officials, who say the dismissal came following evidentiary hearings earlier in February. Thirty-eight-year-old Tyrone Pannell of Hopkinsville had been accused of assaulting an 8-year-old, but those charges have been found to be unsubstantiated and were dismissed by Judge Lindsey Adams.

CCSO deputies arrest Hopkinsville pair for endangerment charges

Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Jevartaye Thomas and 25-year-old Makayla Holmes both of Hopkinsville after law enforcement reportedly found an AR-style rifle in their residence on Tuesday. According to a report, deputies performed a traffic stop on Thomas’ vehicle because it was believed to be connected to an active drug investigation.
