Deputies arrest Tennessee man for drug trafficking, weapon possession

Following a traffic stop, 40-year-old Maurice Ward of Hendersonville, Tennessee was arrested for outstanding warrants, narcotics trafficking and weapon violations on Tuesday. According to a report, deputies witnessed Ward commit a traffic violation as he was leaving the Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel. A residence on Twyman Square in Hopkinsville was badly damaged by fire early Thursday morning.  According to the Hopkinsville Fire Department, a caller in the area of the 1800 block of Twyman Square noticed flames coming from the back of a home and immediately called 911 at about 12:30 a.m. Firefighters responded within five minutes and were able to extinguish the fire with ease.
