The Christian County Sheriff’s Department has once again taken Earl Cook Jr. into custody following a vehicle pursuit Monday. According to a news release, deputies were informed that Cook was allegedly in possession of a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Central City and when deputies attempted to make contact with Cook, he reportedly fled at a high rate of speed in the vehicle. A Hopkinsville woman was injured a crash on Skyline Drive Saturday afternoon.  According to the Hopkinsville police report, a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Kaitlyn McLean was attempting to turn onto Skyline from the parking lot of Kroger, which is when it collided with a vehicle operated by 21-year-old Eric Blane of Hopkinsville.  McLean was taken to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. 

A bicyclist was injured in a crash on North Main Street Saturday. That’s according to the Hopkinsville Police Department, who reports that a bicycle operated by 58-year-old Michael Oglesby was heading south on North Main when a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Luis Martinez of Hopkinsville pulled into his path.  The two collided while Martinez was leaving a parking lot in the 100 block of North Main. A traffic stop reportedly turned into a pursuit in Madisonville on Saturday which led to the arrest of Zyair Clack of Hopkinsville on fleeing charges, but also on charges from a complaint warrant from Christian County. Officers from the Madisonville Police Department observed a vehicle operated by Clack driving northbound on Interstate 69.
