On Tuesday night, inside Tiger Gym, Hopkinsville High hosted and defeated the Trigg Co. Wildcats 91-43. On Tuesday night, the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors hosted and defeated the Clarksville Christian Centurions 65-40. Trigg Co. Sheriff enters guilty plea to official misconduct, menacing

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree has entered a guilty plea to misdemeanor charges in relation to incidents that occurred in 2022—including two counts of first-degree official misconduct and two counts of menacing. Acree was originally indicted for charges of assault in the fourth degree, two counts of first-degree official misconduct and one count of third-degree terroristic threatening, but he pled guilty to the amended charges in Trigg Circuit Court Tuesday. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle rear-end collision that occurred on the Edward T. Breathitt Parkway on Tuesday. A woman who had been sought by Clarksville police for allegedly spraying an officer with bear mace in October has been taken into custody. According to the Clarksville Police Department, 25-year-old Daniell Pitt of Nashville is facing charges of aggravated assault on a first responders, felony theft and felony evading in Clarksville, and additional charges from several different jurisdictions. Sherman Hopson was arrested by officers from the Madisonville Police Department on Saturday after he reportedly assaulted a woman before fleeing the scene on foot.
