The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a vehicle versus bicycle collision that sent a woman to the hospital for serious injuries and the alleged driver fled from. Base failure repairs are scheduled for Thursday and Friday of next week on Walnut Street in Hopkinsville. Christian Fiscal Court held a special-calling meeting Friday morning where they approved the tax rates for the fiscal year. The rates approved on second-reading were 18.1 cents per $100 of assessed value for both real estate and tangible property, which reflects a slight decrease in both, down from 18.2 cents on the property rate and 18.6 cents on tangibles.
