Elkton gets League of Cities grant to help fund recent park upgrades

The City of Elkton has received a $3,000 2022 Liability Grant from the Kentucky League of Cities to help make the playground safer at the City-County Park. KLC members receive the money to help fund various programs and services that reduce liability and make the community safer. The Hopkinsville man found guilty by a jury in November of murder and DUI for a fatal crash on Blue and Gray Park Road was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday afternoon in Todd Circuit Court. Fire destroyed a vacant home Wednesday night in Clarksville. The call came out just after 11 p.m. and officials from Clarksville Fire and Rescue say they arrived to find smoke and flames coming through the roof. No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze is unknown.

Bowling Green robbery suspect arrested in Lyon County

A man sought for a bank robbery in Bowling Green was arrested Wednesday in Lyon County. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Western Kentucky Violent Crimes Task Force located and arrested 45-year old Christopher L. Trice in Kuttawa. Trice was a wanted fugitive for a Bowling Green bank robbery which occurred on November 28, 2022. Police say Trice was arrested following an investigation at two Kuttawa businesses. […]
