An accident Tuesday morning at Country Club Lane and Cox Mill Road sent a local woman to the hospital.
The collision report from Hopkinsville police says 41-year old Syedah Fitchett of Hopkinsville was stopped on Country Club at Cox Mill and was experiencing a medical emergency when her light turned green.
A vehicle behind her driven by 28-year old Jeremy Boggess of Hopkinsville had begun to proceed with the green light and was unable to stop on the slush-covered road when he re-applied his brakes, causing him to rear-end Fitchett.
Fitchett complained of head pain and was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
