Final preparations are taking place in Minneapolis today for the Women’s Final Four. Louisville and South Carolina square off in the first semifinal game tomorrow night at 6 followed by Stanford and U Conn in the nightcap. The winners will play for the national championship Sunday night.
Hopkinsville police are investigating after a pellet gun was used to damage a business on South Main Street. Someone broke a large window at 4th and Main Auto Sales with a pellet gun just before 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the criminal mischief report, which says cost to repair the damage will likely be about $2,000 and that no arrests have been made. No one was injured in the incident.

Bowling Green native Terry Taylor had 18 points and nine rebounds in a start for the Indiana Pacers in their 125-118 loss to the Denver Nuggets last night. Fire destroyed an abandoned home just north of Elkton Wednesday afternoon. Todd County sheriff’s deputies discovered the structure on fire at 1355 Greenville Road just north of Elkton about 3:20 p.m. and called for firefighters while verifying no one was inside.
