White transferring from Tennessee Tech, several schools on list

White averaged 10.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles this past season.

Unemployment fell in all nine Pennyrile counties last month

Unemployment fell from January to February in all nine Pennyrile counties and the rates were also lower than one year ago. Christian County’s February jobless rate was 4.8 percent, down from 5.1 percent in January and from 5.6 percent in February of 2021. Rawls announces return to WKU basketball

After leaving the Western Kentucky program in 2021, Jordan Rawls announced Wednesday he will return to Bowling Green for the 2022-23 season. He transferred to Georgia State following his sophomore season, but played in only nine games last season. He will not be eligible to play until he sits out the fall semester.

UK’s Tshiebwe finalist for Wooden Award

photo credit: UK Athletics Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe is one of five finalists for the John R. Wooden Award, given to the nation’s top player. Tshiebwe averaged 17.4 points and 15.1 rebounds for the Wildcats this season. He won the National Association of Basketball Coaches Player of the Year and Pete Newell Big Man of the Year awards Wednesday.
