Hopkinsville got its first win overall and its first 8th district win downing Fort Campbell 15-5. The Lady Tigers are 1-2 overall and 1-1 in district games while Fort Campbell is 1-3/0-1 in 8th district play. Graduate transfer Jordyn Hughes is joining the Racers program after four seasons at soon to be former OVC rival Eastern Illinois. She is coming off of a senior season in which she averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Hughes is the fourth member of the 2022-23 recruiting class for coach Rechelle Turner.

WKU is back in Conference USA action this weekend at Middle Tennessee. Austin Peay was doubled up by Evansville 10-5. The Governors fall to 8-18 and host Southeast Missouri beginning Friday in Clarksville.

NFL The NFL is approving a major change to its overtime rules. Both teams are now guaranteed a possession in overtime in the playoffs. The contest goes to sudden death if the score is tied following each team's initial possession.
