JSMC has 37 COVID positive patients admitted, only two are vaccinated

There are seven more patients admitted to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with COVID-19 than one week ago. Hospital Spokesman Chris Jung said Wednesday that there were 37 COVID positive patients admitted and six of them were in the ICU. Only two of the 37 patients are vaccinated. Woman arrested after early morning stabbing incident

Hopkinsville police made an arrest following an early Wednesday morning stabbing incident on Hipkins Street. An arrest citation for 40-year-old Maria Zivotin of Hopkinsville says officers were called to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center emergency room regarding a stabbing and made contact with the victim, 41-year-old James Fritz of Hopkinsville. Hopkinsville woman arrested for alleged vehicle theft in Princeton

An arrest warrant for theft of a vehicle was served Tuesday by Hopkinsville police against a local woman. Princeton Police investigated the incident and determined that on Saturday of last week, 20-year-old Jordan Smith of Hopkinsville allegedly took an SUV belonging to Lametre Riley and wrecked it in Hopkins County. Madisonville man taken to hospital after accident

An accident Tuesday night in Madisonville sent a man to an Evansville hospital with injuries. A news release from the Madisonville Police Department says 39-year-old Kimberly Thompson of Madisonville was northbound on Northhaven Drive about 7:15 p.m. when she swerved to the right and struck a parked vehicle. CCPS seeking public input for naming of new high school

The Christian County Public School System is asking the public to help name and brand the new consolidated high school that was created last month by the school board. Former WKU QB Pigrome lands at Ole Miss
