Todd Co. reports 21 new COVID-19 cases

Todd County has its worst day for new COVID-19 cases in months Monday with 21. They are 18 adults and three minors and one of the adults is hospitalized with severe symptoms. Only three of the new cases are vaccinated. Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available at the Todd County Health Department Tuesday through Thursday of this week.

247 Sports reports Syracuse running back Jawhar Jordan is transferring to Louisville and will enroll in classes this week. Jordan had 223 all-purpose yards in the 2019 meeting between the Orange and the Cardinals. Jordan will be eligible to play this fall. U of L will begin fall camp next Sunday.

CCPS teachers, staff will be required to wear mask in upcoming school year

The Christian County Public School System will now require all teachers and staff to wear masks when at school or work. The facial covering mandate for teachers and staff is due to an uptick in new COVID cases—according to a statement from District Spokesperson John Rittenhouse. A recommendation to wear a mask will remain in place for students in Christian County schools when the new year begins August 11.
