Lady Tigers win own Invitational event Monday

The Hopkinsville Girls Invitational tournament took place Monday at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club. Hopkinsville won the team portion of the event by 57 strokes over second place Owensboro Catholic.University Heights Academy’s Conlee Lindsey won the event with Hopkinsville’s Cate Blane and UHA’s Rhegan Lindsey tying for second. Christian County’s Riley Johnson finished fourth. The Boys version of the Hopkinsville Invitational takes place today.

Sanderson Drive home damaged by fire

Fire damaged a home on Sanderson Drive Monday night. Hopkinsville firefighters were called to 110 Sanderson about 9 p.m. and Public Information Officer Payton Rogers says they found flames coming from the back side of the house and heavy smoke coming from the structure. Pedestrian killed in Murray accident

A pedestrian was killed in an accident Monday night in Murray. Murray police say a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Taylor Schaff of Murray was southbound on US 641 near Center Drive just before 8:30 p.m. when she struck a person walking in the road who she had not seen. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and their name has not been released.

Trigg Co. gains 17 COVID cases

Trigg County reported 17 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday on Monday afternoon. They are 12 adults and five minors between the ages of 1 and 62 and they are all isolating at home, according to the Pennyrile District Health Department.
