NHL The Tampa Bay Lightning will look to put the Montreal Canadiens on the brink of elimination tonight in Game Three of the Stanley Cup Final in Montreal. Tampa Bay leads the series 2-0.

Tractor pulls, corn hole featured at WKSF Friday

Mid-South Truck and Tractor Pulls highlights the second-to-last day of the Western Kentucky State Fair. Mintz announces he will return to UK basketball next season

photo credit: UK Athletics Kentucky’s Davion Mintz announced today he will return to the Wildcats next season. Mintz went through the NBA Draft evaluation process and withdrew his name from the 2021 NBA Draft less than a week prior to the July 7 NCAA deadline. Mintz was Kentucky’s leading scorer at 11.5 points per game last season.

Hayes selected as next Chamber president and CEO

The Christian County Chamber of Commerce has selected former Kentucky New Era publisher and president Taylor Hayes as its next executive director and CEO. Most recently Hayes was chair of an executive peer advisory group for Vistage Worldwide, working with business owners and leaders to grow their operations. Recent University Heights Academy graduate DJ Quarles announced on social media he will continue his basketball career at St. Louis Community College. Quarles averaged 16.2 points per game in his senior season. St. Louis Community College is a member of the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference.

EKU, Jacksonville State new members of ASUN as of today

July 1st marks the day two former Ohio Valley Conference members join their new league. Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State are new members of the Atlantic Sun Conference as of today. For Jacksonville State, it marks the return to the league where it started and for EKU, they had been in the OVC as a charter member since 1941.

WKU basketball to play Ole Miss this coming season in Atlanta
