Carson Williams had 21 points as Western Kentucky rolled past Florida International Sunday in Bowling Green 91-54. Charles Bassey added a double-double with 19 points anf 14 rebounds as WKU improved to 16-5 overall. A Hopkinsville woman was hurt in a three-vehicle crash Saturday night at McLean Avenue and Lindwood Drive. Austin Peay holds off Tennessee State for Scotty Walden’s first coaching win

photo credit: Austin Peay athletics Austin Peay used another outstanding defensive effort and an incredible early rushing performance by Brian Snead to fight through a first-half downpour and take down Tennessee State 27-20. Snead had three carries for 186 yards and three touchdowns early for the Governors and set an FCS record with 204 yards rushing in the 1st quarter. Austin Peay is off next Sunday.
