Lyon County/Henderson County top 2nd Region Media Polls

Lyon County continues to top the 2nd Region Media Boys Top 10 poll. University Heights is second followed by Madisonville, Webster County and Hopkinsville in the top five. Christian County is ranked 10th. Henderson County is number one in the 2nd Region Media Girls Top 10 poll. Webster County, Crittenden County, Union County and Lyon County round out the top five. Christian County is ranked sixth this week.

WKU sweeps Florida International

Western Kentucky finished off a two day, two game series with a 71-59 win over Florida International this afternoon. Charles Bassey had 22 points and 17 rebounds with Tavieon Hollingsworth adding 20 points. WKU is now 17-5 overall and 10-2 in Conference USA. Old Dominion is up next for the Hilltoppers Friday night in Bowling Green, with pregame at 6:30 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Kentucky DB Brown in transfer portal

When Brown transfers, the Florida native could have three years of eligibility left if proposed NCAA legislation that calls for all first-time transfers to have immediate eligibility passes as expected before the next school year begins.
