A single-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Pembroke-Oak Grove Road injured the driver. The report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department says 32-year old Dewayne Johns of Hopkinsville had been northbound near Bradshaw Road when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the road and into the ditch. Austin Peay head coach Marquase Lovings announced over the weekend the hiring of two assistant coaches. Thirty-five-year coaching veteran Mike Markuson will take over as the Governors’ offensive line coach. A man was arrested Sunday night by Hopkinsville police after he allegedly damaged a stolen vehicle. An arrest citation for 39-year old Muharrar Hopson of Hopkinsville says he got inside a woman’s vehicle on Sunnyvale Lane without her permission and left, hitting his own vehicle while backing out. Outside linebacker Vic Beasley is still a no-show at Tennessee Titans camp. The team acknowledged it is an unexcused absence. It could be expensive if Beasley does not report soon.
