Man injured in Cadiz Road accident

A single-vehicle accident on Cadiz Road in Christian County Tuesday morning sent one occupant to the hospital. Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Miller says the vehicle had been headed east near the 9000 block when it hydroplaned and began to flip. There were five people in the vehicle and one man was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with possible broken arm. Names of those involved have not been released.

Woman, child injured in Parkway crash

Rain was a factor in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning on the Pennyrile Parkway that injured a woman and child. The vehicle was headed north near the 17 mile-marker at about 9:30 a.m. when it began to hydroplane and flipped, ending up in the median, according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department. Wells wins GOP primary for Todd County clerk

Timothy Wells won the Republican primary for Todd County clerk and will face incumbent Cindy O’Bryan in November. Wells, who is the current Todd County coroner, defeated former Judge-Executive Kent Knight by a 303-233 vote in the GOP primary. O’Bryan was not challenged in the Democratic primary. Amy McGrath won Todd County’s Democratic U.S. Senate primary, getting 459 votes compared to Charles Booker's 309.

Man arrested for burglaries in Muhlenberg County

Greenville police arrested a man who is accused in numerous burglaries and thefts in multiple counties. Officer Wes Miller says police received information that Jesse White had property at his home that had been stolen from a local business. A nine-year old boy was injured after being struck by a vehicle Monday night on South Virginia Street. A collision report from Hopkinsville police says nine-year-old Kaleb Cortez of Hopkinsville was walking southbound on South Virginia near 24th Street and he attempted to flag down a southbound pickup driven by 38-year old Rebecca Kimble of Hopkinsville to ask her if she had seen a missing juvenile. The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a flash flood watch for all of western Kentucky until 7 a.m. Wednesday with heavy rain in the forecast. Austin Peay student-athletes test positive for Covid-19

Austin Peay has suspended voluntary workouts and closed its facilities after a cluster of positive tests for the coronavirus among its athletes. The Governors currently have 11 athletes who have tested positive and did not identify the sports involved. Austin Peay closed its facilities Saturday.
