Three people were displaced by a kitchen fire early Thursday morning at a home on Kenwood Drive. Vanderbilt football gets grad transfer from Alabama

Alabama walk on receiver Mac Hereford is heading to Vanderbilt. According to a report from 247 Sports.com, Hereford made the decision earlier this week. Hereford-a graduate transfer-played in only two games in his Alabama career, one being against Western Carolina last season. He will have one year of eligibility and joins a Commodore team that went 3-9 last season.

Report: Titans to sign veteran cornerback Joseph

The Tennessean reports a source as saying the Tennessee Titans will sign cornerback Jonathan Joseph. NFL Network says it will be a one year deal. The 36-year-old Joseph has spent the last nine seasons with the Houston Texans after being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2006. He will provide a veteran presence to a position where the Titans drafted LSU’s Kristian Fulton and Marshall’s Chris Jackson last week.

Baseball Hall of Fame inductions for 2020 canceled

The Baseball Hall of Fame inductions scheduled for July 26th in Cooperstown have been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Class of 2020 of Derek Jeter, Marvin Miller, Ted Simmons and Larry Walker will be inducted in July 2021, alongside any new members elected in the 2021 class. Next summer's induction ceremony will be the first since 1949 to combine multiple classes.
