UK to open spring football Tuesday

Kentucky is scheduled to begin spring practice tomorrow. During a preview news conference today, Coach Mark Stoops said there are 111 players in practice this spring, the most he’s ever had during his time at Kentucky. Stoops added quarterback Terry Wilson-who was injured early last season-is doing some throwing and getting his leg stronger, but is limited. He anticipates Wilson being able to play again this fall.

Arrest made in Cadiz arsons

Cadiz police have arrested a man for arson after he allegedly admitted to setting two house fires Sunday night and Monday morning. Rep. Dossett says House committee likely to take up budget Wed. or Thurs.

A Kentucky House committee is likely to take up the biennial budget mid-to-late week and there could be a full House vote as soon as Friday.
