Volunteers rally to edge Hoosiers at Gator Bowl

Tennessee scored two touchdowns in 30 seconds and rallied for a 23-22 victory over Indiana in the Gator Bowl. A one-yard run by Quavaris Crouch pulled the Volunteers within 22-16 with 4:21 remaining, and after the Vols Eric Gray recovered an onside kick, Gray scored on a 16-yard TD run three plays later to make it 23-22. The Tennessee Titans have one more day to prepare for their biggest game of the season. The Titans visit the New England Patriots in Foxboro tomorrow night in the AFC wild card round. Hopkinsville couple arrested for strangulation of child

A Hopkinsville couple was arrested Thursday afternoon on charges related to strangulation of a child. Hopkinsville police charged 27-year old Bradford Lynch, Jr. with first-degree strangulation and 29-year old Sheena Lynch with complicity to first-degree strangulation. The warrants say Braford Lynch went into the room of his step-son in August and strangled him until his face turned red. He then went to another step son and allegedly strangled him. He […]

Woman killed in Logan Co. crash on US 68

An Auburn woman was killed in a two-vehicle wreck on US 68 in Logan County Thursday morning. The Logan County Sheriff’s Department investigated and determined 88-year old Emma Hansford of Auburn drove from Duncans Chapel Road onto US 68 and into the path of a vehicle operated by 24-year old Michael Claywell of Oakland. JSMC welcomes first baby of 2020

It didn’t take long for the first baby of 2020 to be born at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Linkin Miller was welcomed to the world at 12:37 p.m. New Year’s Day at Jennie Stuart and weighed in at 7 lbs. and 13 ounces. Officials at the hospital say his mother, Lisa Miller, called it ‘love at first sight’ and said she’s proud to be a first time mother.
