Taylor to serve as Ky. Commissioner for Business Development

Former state Representative Jeff Taylor of Hopkinsville has been appointed as Commissioner for Business Development in the Cabinet for Economic Development by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear. Aaron Beth named interim girls basketball coach at Marshall County

Aaron Beth has been named interim coach of the Marshall County girls’ basketball program. Beth replaces Dan Langhi, who was arrested on New Year’s Day on charges of speeding and DUI. West Kentucky Star.com reports Marshall County Superintendent Trent Lovett stated Langhi has been suspended indefinitely , but he left open the possibility that Langhi could return to coaching the Lady Marshals.

UK football pioneer Hogg passes away

Mississippi State fires football coach Moorhead

Mississippi State has fired Coach Joe Moorhead after just two seasons. The Associated Press citing a report from the online network Stadium says athletic director John Cohen informed Moorhead of the decision at a meeting today.
