Home, vehicle struck by gunfire on Younglove Street

A vehicle and home were struck by gunfire in an incident early Friday morning on Younglove Street. It happened about 3:15 a.m. when a home and vehicle belonging to 57-year old Jacques Redd of Hopkinsville were each struck by a single gunshot at 915 Younglove. No one was injured and no suspects are listed on the Hopkinsville Police Department report.

In the first of a two-game Conference USA Florida swing, Western Kentucky fell at Florida Atlantic 69-65. Josh Anderson led the Hilltoppers with 20 points as WKU plays at Florida International tomorrow with pregame at 10:30 am on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. In the women’s game, WKU downed Florida Atlantic 68-59. The Lady Toppers host Florida International at 2 pm tomorrow afternoon in Bowling Green.
