Christian County swept Fort Campbell in an 8th district doubleheader played in Lyle Dunbar Gym. After allowing Fort Campbell a 3-0 lead, Christian County never looked back as the Colonels routed the Falcons 75-29. Senior Stephan Bussell led the Colonels with 22 points while Damikeon Mathis added 14 and freshman KJ Vaughn pitched in 12. Christian County improved to 8-13 overall and 3-1 in 8th district games and play at Lincoln County tomorrow.
Fort Campbell was led in scoring by Cameron Pratt with 11 points in falling to 6-15 overall and 0-4 in 8th district games. The Falcons welcome West Creek tonight.
In the girls game, Christian County picked up a 60-3 victory. The Lady Colonels were led in scoring by JaChia Pendleton with 12 points with Treliyah Thomas adding nine and Lapeka Bussell scoring eight. The Lady Colonels improved to 7-11 overall and 3-1 in 8th district games and welcome Murray this evening.
Fort Campbell’s lone basket came from Danielle Houston on a three point bucket as the Lady Falcons fell to 0-14 and 0-4 in 8th district action. Fort Campbell faces West Creek this evening as part of a double header.
