Titans announce roster moves

The Tennessee Titans waived linebacker Gimel President and safety Jonathan Crawford yesterday. To replace them, they signed defensive lineman Chris Nelson and linebacker Jordan Williams. The Titans will scrimmage at Nissan Stadium tomorrow. The team is hosting its inaugural Kickoff Party which will feature an on-field concert by Jake Owen after practice.

Major League Baseball handed down eight suspensions in the wake of Tuesday's on-field brawl between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds. Man gets life plus 40 years for brutal rape

Following several days of trial in Christian Circuit Court, a jury has found James Hinman II guilty of three count of first-degree rape, including one count with serious physical injury, for an attack that happened in 2013. According to court documents, the guilty verdict comes with a recommended life sentence on one count, plus 40 years for the other two rape counts.
