Hopkinsville police are investigating a pair of burglaries reported on Friday. Someone entered a home at 507 West Second Street between July 12 and Friday morning and took two televisions, a VCR and Jewelry. Hoptown Hoppers defeated Dubois County Bombers 6-4 on Friday after taking the lead late in the game. Hopkinsville welcomed Fire Engine #1 back to what was formerly the Central Fire Station, but what is now the Woody Winfree Fire Transportation Museum, after being painstakingly restored by local firefighters. A pursuit of a motorcycle Friday afternoon in Christian County ended with a crash on Madisonville road. Cadiz man charged with felony theft, engaging in organized crime

A Cadiz man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle from the Princeton Electric Plant in 2018. According to a news release, officers were able to identify 33-year old Adam Schneider of Cadiz on surveillance video from the electric plant of a vehicle being stolen from the parking lot in August 2018. Mayor to name Futrell interim HFD chief

Mayor Carter Hendricks is recommending Steve Futrell to become interim chief of the Hopkinsville Fire Department until a successor is named to the recently retired chief Freddie Montgomery. An executive order on Tuesday's Hopkinsville City Council agenda would make Futrell, currently serving as deputy chief, the interim chief. Trailer stolen from construction site in Oak Grove

Oak Grove police are investigating the theft of a trailer from a construction site. The utility trailer was stolen sometime between 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday from a location on Pembroke-Oak Grove Road near Good Hope Cemetery Road.
