Man served with cocaine trafficking indictment warrant

A Hopkinsville man was served with a Christian County Grand Jury indictment warrant Wednesday evening for drug trafficking. Hopkinsville police served the warrant for three counts of trafficking in cocaine and one count of being a persistent felony offender against 48-year old Benjamin Ellegood of Hopkinsville. He was also served with warrants for parole violation and for failing to appear in court.

Search warrant leads to drug arrest

An investigation into an alleged identity theft Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man on drug charges. Officers went to a Roney Drive residence to talk to 25-year old Phillip Walker of Hopkinsville and found drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view, according to the police report, which says a search warrant was obtained. Report: Shooting on Boyd Street happened during robbery

The shooting incident from early Wednesday morning on Boyd Street happened during commission of a robbery. That’s according to the Hopkinsville Police Department incident report, which says unknown suspects wearing ski masks approached 35-year old Robert Armour of Clarksville near 128 Boyd a few minutes after 3 a.m. and attempted to take his property. A man and his wife were arrested on felony charges Wednesday night following a road rage incident involving a gunshot fired on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Titans receiver Baston’s season ends with injury

The season is over for Tennessee Titans wide receiver Cameron Batson. He was placed on injured reserve yesterday. Batson suffered a shoulder injury in practice on Monday. He caught eight passes last year for 82 yards. In other moves yesterday, Tennessee signed receivers Tanner McEvoy and Papi White while waiving receiver Joseph Parker.
