Preds breeze by Lightning

Filip Forsberg scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as the Nashville Predators beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1 in Tampa. Ryan Johansen and Craig Smith also lit the lamp for the Predators. Goaltender Juuse Saros made 29 saves as Nashville owns a NHL-best 113 points. Nashville continues its Sunshine State swing tomorrow night at the Florida Panthers.

Tax reform legislation could surface Monday

This is the final day of the General Assembly before the veto recess and lawmakers will likely pass a budget and could at least begin work on comprehensive tax reform. Cadiz man arrested on cocaine, wanton endangerment charges

Hopkinsville Police arrested a Cadiz man Sunday morning for cocaine and other related charges. An officer stopped 29-year old Ezekiel Conaway of Cadiz for making an improper turn from 15th onto Canton Street, according to an arrest citation, which says Conway was also not wearing his seat belt. A local man was arrested for his second DUI following a two-vehicle wreck on West Seventh Street Saturday. A traffic stop at Canton and Cypress Street Saturday morning led to two people being arrested for methamphetamine trafficking. An arrest citation for 22-year old Rebecca King says she was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court and drug paraphernalia was found on her person. Man sought on warrant arrested after pursuit

A man sought on a warrant was arrested by Hopkinsville Police Saturday morning following a foot pursuit. Officer Tyler Hancock saw 31-year old Mark Simpson of Hopkinsville walking on East Ninth Street and knew him to be wanted on a warrant.
