McGee recalled to Majors by Kansas City Royals

Former Hopkinsville High School pitcher Easton McGee is back in the big leagues. 

McGee, a 6-foot-7, right-handed pitcher, was recalled late last week by the Kansas City Royals. He pitched Friday night in the Royals’ 3-1 loss to the Colorado Rockies. He threw one inning and struck out one while not allowing a hit or run. 

On Saturday, the former Hoptown star threw 1 1/3 innings. He struck out one and allowed five hits and a run in the Royals’ 12-6 loss to the Rockies. 

McGee was signed by the Royals last month and sent to Triple-A Omaha before being recalled to the Major League club last week.
